Abstract
Research conducted within MA thesis of social work was aimed to discovery and study of basic needs and challenges of children having special educational needs in institutions of preschool education, to establish how ready preschool educational institutions are to effectively serve children with special educational needs. Research is conducted in Tbilisi. Research participants are directors, teachers of preschool educational public institutions, parents and parents of children with special educational needs.
Introduction and support of inclusive education is priority question of many countries.
Legislation of Georgia supports its development, although practically process of education cannot be complete and children with special educational needs, as well as their parents, face internal or outer barriers of various types.
Research is conducted by the use of featured method- instrument of the research is guidance of deepened interview. As result of research it is marked out that the state policy, particularly law on preschool growth and education supports introduction of inclusive education, although children with special educational needs and disabled children face physical barriers in preschool education institutions, besides, there are barriers connected to attitude, especially in parents, the problem is also qualification of pedagogues and big number of children in groups, what causes different difficulties. In order preschool education institutions can completely serve to children with special educational needs, realization of additional changes is necessary, as well as support of the state.
