The work aims to study Georgian Woman’s Social Issues and Strategies to Deal with them Based on the Project: “Women of Georgia”.
The social project of Women’s Initiative Group “Women’s Voice” reflects the real stories of unknown and known women. Respondents tell us about their own experience, hard life stages, strategies by the help of wich have been overcome problems and became stronger. The most important in these stories is women’s special fighting capacity. They are fighting and opposing against the oppressive environment, trying to break this “enchanted circle” and establish their own place in society.
The study issie is relevant because the number of murdered women as sex-based crime (femicide) has been increased significantly. The Gender Discrimination Problems in the family and professional arena is obviously, low participation of women in political processes, different salaries for men and women at the same position, sexual harassment at workplace, due to the complexity of its identification is considered an “invisible” form of discrimination. Men employed on managing posts are forced to fulfill the men’s wishes and to “serve the sevices for services” by creating a hostile job conditions and threatening to lose the job. The hostile working environment and constant stress emotionally exhausts women and makes them incapable.
