Mental health has an influence on the general condition of the human beings, its welfare and quality of life satisfaction. The number of people with mental health problems increases annually.
Also, the challenges are rising. Countries, including Georgia, has analyzed the importance of mental health for the well being of the society and started actives development of community based services and deinstitutionalization.
One of the most important services is a community-based mobile team, which has had a significant impact on service user's life. The service reduced health problems caused by mental health disease; satisfied the medical needs of the service recipients and contributed to the support of their families as well. The mobile team service allowed people to get medicines for free, which reduced expenses; users have received information about existing social services and get some social support. Additionally, the mobile team support with psycho-social education.
Despite active work, people with mental health problems still have many challenges.
Including: economical, social, domestical, psychological, emotional, unemployment and more.
Still, there is a great need of active work for the development of social inclusion of these people.
