Abstract
Given work describes the study of the dairy market and the attitude of consumers towards the product. It describes consumer properties of dairy products, its place and role in nutrition as well as their classification and characteristics.
The study also discusses the world production of milk and dairy product, it’s abundance and shortage in countries. We discussed the world trade in dairy products and the situation in terms of export and import. We researched which are the leading companies and what positions they hold in the world market. Also, their marketing moves and techniques, advertising campaigns and key slogans. It also shows recent studies by leading organizations on the benefits of dairy products and their impact on the environment.
The main part of presented work is the research of the Georgian dairy market, the volume of production and the situation in regions. We found out which product is the most consumed, how many business entities work in this field, how many of them use natural milk in production, how many use raw materials with additives and etc. We also studied farm types, learnt about the methods of milk processing by business entities and Georgia's export-import.
One of the main tasks of the research was the attitude of Georgian consumers towards dairy products. We conducted a consumer market analysis to determine their level of satisfaction with the dairy products on the market. We also conducted a survey of dairy suppliers in the market. Based on the goals and objectives of the research topic, one of the types of quantitative research - internet survey was used as a method and an online questionnaire was used as a tool. Three hundred people took part in the questionnaire and we came to conclusions.
