Political aspects of Georgia and Russia-Turkey relations

The work deals with historical and modern aspects of Russian-Turkish relations that influenced and influences political and economic situation of Georgia and determines the circumstances affecting stability and security of the country.
The work also includes the main segments of Turkish expansionist policies aimed at expanding the area of influence in Georgia and, in the region in general.
Since Georgia has chosen a Euro Atlantic course and its partners are the West and NATO, we have tried to analyze what role Turkey plays in implementing this choice and whether it carries on its imperialistic interests at the same time. Here we have analyzed the policy of the second major actor of the Caucasus – Russia and the impact of Russian-Turkish relations on Georgia.
The work also discusses the Treaty of Kars, the guarantors of which are Russia and Turkey. One hundred years after the conclusion of the Treaty, this issue is still relevant. We have tried to show the importance of this Treaty for Georgia and the threats and risks that can be accompanied by it.
The aim of the study was to analyze and evaluate the relations between Russia and Turkey and their impact on Georgia.
