The Role of Healthcare Management in Managing Changing Circumstances and Growing Uncertainty

In the first phase of the pandemic in Georgia, the government, medical workers and managers were in a changing environment and in a growing area of uncertainty. Timely planning and action, promptly developed by a team of physicians, epidemiologists, infectious disease specialists and managers, enabled the government to take urgent measures to contain the pandemic and slow the spread. We have examined the actual state of organization, effectiveness, pros and cons of the measures taken and proposed a management scheme for overcoming a given crisis that is effective.
