Abstract
Nowadays the organization's efficiency in the world is significantly determined by its organizational structure. Organizational structure is a formal arrangement of works and activities within the organization. It serves many purposes and in many cases may be presented visually in the form of organizational scheme. In order to achieve the goals of the organization, organizational structure is used as a basis for distribution of tasks, objectives, their coordination and supervision.
This work discusses the essence of organizational structure and design and its effect on business efficiency, how it is formed and used. The work presents different forms of organizational structures, adaptive organizational design, and discusses what type of structure is optimal for different companies. The section of organizational structures and theoretical-methodological issues of organizational design also discusses the challenges that characterize modern business. Examples of the organizational structure of various foreign and Georgian companies are discussed and how the approach has changed in terms of organizing activities; In the constantly changing environment, how the employee got to the forefront and how focus shifted on flexible work activities. The work also provides research on organizational structures in companies of Georgia, on positive and negative aspects that are the characteristic of their leadership, on organizational style and how effectively they react to different changes in the business environment.
