Abstract
The challenge of 21st century school is to answer the needs, abilities, skills, expectations and interests of its pupils, these challenges are dramatically diverse. The purpose of the school nowadays is the to push the natural curiosity of its pupils and turn it in knowledge, to take care of the quality of teaching and the diversity of the learning process, where the individual opportunities for students will be considered.
In the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia changes and introducing innovations constantly occurs. It’s really interesting to observe how the activities carried by the teachers in the frame of the national curriculum are focused on learning - teaching quality improvement, how and in what form uses the teacher the knowledge she/or he acquired during professional qualification program in practice.
The aim of the following research is to determine what kind of activities are being carried out in the direction of quality assurance and how it is reflected on motivation of the pupils. The research is based on the example of four schools (Two private and two public).
After the identification of the research issues, the methodology has been identified and recommendations have been developed based on results, which will help the administration and school staff to work better in the learning environment. The study examines the importance of quality service in school as a supportive factor for motivation. The survey includes interviews with members of the administration; Questionaires with teachers, administration members, pupils and focus group with parents.
