Abstract
The master thesis consists of 64 pages and 3 chapters, which are divided into 7 sub-chapters. The main part is followed by a conclusion and recommendations, after which a list of used literature is displayed.
The first sub-chapter of the first chapter, in order to prepare the reader for the rest of the paper, discusses the essence of modern global climate change, its brief history and key features. It also discusses the origins of its phenomenon and the involvement of humans in it, how humanity has evolved with the discovery of new, more efficient sources of energy, and in parallel what kind of damage it has done to its own habitat. The end of the sub-chapter discusses the current state of this phenomenon and the various scenarios for future development according to the scientists' calculations and observations.
The following sub-chapter of the same chapter underlines the effects of climate change and its main environmental sign – the global warming with its fundamental effects of global warming on people and the environment. Because all of this takes place in the Earth's atmosphere and the entire flora and fauna and their habitat are related to the latter, therefore, this subsection answers questions about what kind of influence they have on each other. There is also a discussion about the various ecological difficulties that humans encounter more and more widely in the daily life.
The next chapter focuses on the impact of changing environmental conditions on the sports industry, and its first sub-chapter describes how it affects summer sports. Discusses the challenges, difficulties and dire consequences that the sports business industry has faced so far and will likely have to share the same in the future. It also discusses the ways in which sports managers resist the above and how effectively they stand out.
The second subsection of the second chapter is similar in its content to its predecessor, except that it deals with winter sports and also the final part is devoted to the state of winter sports tourism in the context of global warming.
The following sub-chapter is a research part of the research paper, which uses the following methods, that are displayed in the research methodology part of the paper, to explore the impact of global climate change on the winter tourism economy in the United States in 2010-2020. In order to better present the information, 1 graph and 7 diagrams are presented with their descriptions.
The last - third chapter of the main part of the paper discusses the management of sports management in the fight against the global climate change and also discusses its solutions and future perspectives on which sports managers have high hopes. The first sub-chapter here is devoted to the efforts of international sports actors, including managers, their organizations and athletes, to address problem-solving efforts, both individually and collectively, in collaboration with various political and non-political organizations. The focus is also on modernizing the sports infrastructure and its examples, which include eco-friendliness for the environment.
Because this different reality requires appropriate response, the last sub-chapter of the last section discusses the already in charge new and yet to be implemented regulations in sports management that includes the guidelines for sport managers to manage their human and material resources, revise existing business practices, and educate people to raise awareness that serves to properly prepare their audience for the challenge.
The aim of the master thesis is to present the global climate change in context of sport and connect them in a way to display how does the first one affects another and on what scale. In parallel to this, the aim is also for problem solving ways and future perspectives related to this to be shown as well.
