The previous economic crisis inflicted sizable damage on the public finances of many
countries around the world. This is the main reason why fiscal policy is considered to be very
significant aspect of macroeconomics nowadays.
The influence of fiscal policy over the business cycles and economics has received increasing
attention from researchers in recent years. The terms of pro-cyclical and counter-cyclical are
used to describe how an economic policy is related to economic fluctuations, indicating a
government's approach to spending and taxation.
There are many theoretic and practical aspects disputed in this master thesis. All the review
about fiscal politics should be very complex and dynamic because of multiplicity of issue. The
master thesis combines matters of budget and taxes in the world and shows that all countries
should deal with fiscal problems individually according to world’s experience in economics.
The theoretical side of the master thesis concerns literary review and theoretical analysis,
which represents not only the overview of existing literature, but outlines the conclusions of
economic principles applied on the studied problematic and uses a literature basis for defining
conclusions. Also it shows the outcomes of the findings and empirical evidence.
To sum up, we have stressed the principal aspects and discussed about the modern challenges
in fiscal policy by overviewing an example of Georgia. We have summarized very essential issues
about perspectives of our fiscal policy.
