Education is a fundamental right of any human being and the basis for guaranteeing the
rights of other person.It is essential for peace and tolerance, It should be accessible to everyone
and snd shoul have appropriate quality. Education is important for the development of specific
individuals and society.
The master's thesis is dedicated to studying the motives of higher education in the bachelor's
degree, of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences in the private and public university students.
The results of the study will enable us to determine what is the motivation of education for
young people and what factors have Impact on their motivation of education.
The objectives of the research are as follows: Identification of private university's student's
motivation of education,Identification of public university's student's motivation of
education,How Burdie’s economic, cultural and social capital determines private and public
university's students’ motivation of education.
In the first stage was carried out the study of the theories related to the research issue; the
Behavioristic and Humanistic approaches to motivation, Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of
needs, the theories of Pier Burdie’s economic,social and cultural capital and theory of human
capital and signal effect.In the next stage was carried out Quantitative research. Quantitative
research included a face-to-face interview.Within the scope of quantitative research were
interviewed 310 respondents.
