This paper will review data journalism as important story. Journalists have agreed that there are many journalistic stories hidden beyond the data. Naturally, this does not mean that all the data is interesting for the media and they must hide the interesting story behind them, but there are themes that are actively offered as media insights for several years already.
For example, the topic of elections, which has been covered by the world's leading media outlets (The New York Times, The Economist, Time, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post) with analytical and voluminous infographics.
The term New media, is no longer new for Georgian media space. For several years, Georgian media have been actively using data journalism and data visualization to cover some of the events. Data visualizations and infographics are the component of New media.
In some cases, infographics are used in articles and in various journalistic texts or video stories.
