Labor migration is one of the most actual and problematic issues for the domestic and foreign policy of modern Georgia. This problem has existed since first years of independence and still now represents a serious challenge for the country. Labor migration in Georgia creates as economic and demographic problems, also affects its security and stability. During the last five years migration policy has become one of the topical direction of country policy agenda. Government has put important steps on national level for managing migrations. The paper deals with study and analysis of labor migration policy of Georgia. For achieve this goal, paper has briefly discussed main reasons for labor migration from Georgia, are separated positive and negative results, that is accompanied by this process in the country; has been studied and analyzed Migration Policy in Georgia since the first years of independence, are presented and evaluated main directions, regulatory legislation and strategies of the state's migration policy and finally is emphasized the main problems and challenges, which are in terms of effective management and regulation of migration policy in Georgia. To achieve the main purpose of the work there is used policy analysis and comparative analysis method into the paper. policy analysis method gives opportunity to study, analyze and evaluate migration poliscy and also gives me opportunity of independent analysis. And the comparative analysis method gives the possibility of parallelization with Labor migration policy of another country. On the base of use this method, paper compares migration policy of Georgia and Pakistan, is revealed similarities or differences with policy implementation direction. By the use of those method, and on the based of the study of labor migration policy in Georgia and analysis of current legal base it has been established, that the existing legislation in the country is incomplete and does not comply with the current migration processes in Georgia. For the realization of state labor migration policy there is only one legislative act in the country “The Law on Labor Migration” dated on 2015, which is in the process of formation and does not comply with international standards. From here it is established, that migration policy in Georgia is inefficient in regulation and legalization direction of labor migration direction, thats why labor migration problem is still stands before the country.
