The paper reviews the genesis and types of investment, their economic importance.
Are analyzed investments implemented in Georgia, also one of the most important issues, such as government policy towards investment and its efficiency Is discussed the past situation, taken measures and future plans in order to stimulate foreign investment in the country.
In the Master’s thesis we have studied and analyzed the work of different scientists, foreign georgian scientific economists’ works and methodological approaches of the effective investment policy offered by them.
Are identified both of them, as a hindering as stimulating factors for investments and for effective investment policy.
For the evaluation dynamics of investment in the different field of Georgian economy are used indicators and data offered by the National Statistics Office of Georgia.
