Abstract
The following Master's thesis concerns on the level of students' awareness regarding the
Erasmus Mundus Exchange Program. The issue is examined by the example of the English
philology
students of four Universities.
In the modern epoch, in the context of the acceleration of globalization, higher education
is associated with not only the acquaintance of the profession but with the education of the
citizen with international values. A citizen who will not be a member of a local community,
but who will be a member of an international community. Consequently, Georgian
Universities have implemented a mission in the process of globalization that they will not be
only small enterprises of education, but also actively engaged in international process of
changes.
International values will not be shared without contact with countries, especially in the
con
text of education. This contact means involving students, academic and administrative
personnel in different international activities. As a result, first of all, the university and then the
state will benefit from the improvement of the quality of education.
Before studying this issue, we discussed the higher education systems of several countries
(Georgia, Germany, Lithuania) in the context of globalization.
In the thesis we also present a discussion of the Bologna process, its goals and the tasks to
achieve these goals, we review the documents of the Bologna Process and its preambles in
detail.
Based on the subject of the Master's thesis, in the theoretical part we
are talking about the
modules of Erasmus program and its accompanying statistical data.
