Terrorism in the 21st century has become the biggest challenge in the world. leading
countries and organizations of the world that are making great efforts to prevent terrorist
threats, but despite these efforts, European and American cities have repeatedly become
victims of terrorist acts. We can confidently say that terrorism is one of the main problems
among those that humanity faced after the cold of war.
The purpose of this work is to study the characteristics of "international terrorism",
asymmetric threats emanating from the XXI century terrorism, the composition, structure,
goals and objectives of terrorist organizations. The present work is aimed at studying the
approach of international organizations and specific countries with respect to countering
terrorism, their legal and conceptual aspects, countering terrorism actions that are carried out
throughout the world in order to minimize the threat of international terrorism.
The main research questions of the essay: what is international terrorism? What is the
connection between international terrorism and asymmetrical military threats? What is the
role and approaches of the international community in the fight against international
terrorism?
The study uses an intrinsic method and a deductive approach, which involves the
confirmation of a previously put forward hypothesis as a result of the study and theoretical
analysis. During the research, two in-depth interviews were conducted with the expert
community.
