Study of agronomic and biological traits of red berry grape cultivars Tavkveri and Asuretuli Shavi from Kartli province of Georgia

Master's thesis presents the viticulture direction and research aims to study the biological and economic properties of the red grapevine varieties such as Tavkveri and the Asuretuli Shavi spread in Kartli province; also, to obtaine new experimental material according to latest requirements and asses with the descriptors designed by International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV).
The ampelographic textbooks in Georgia are outdated and despite the diversity the number of grapevine varieties which will be fully studded and described with modern descriptors is small.
The obtained experimental materials will facilitate the study of modern resources for indigenous grape varieties of Kartli region such as Tavkveri and Asuretuli Shavi with its varietal characteristics, qualitative, ampelographic or agricultural features.
