Abstract
The master's work “Politics and Problems of Antimonopoly Regulation in Georgia” addresses the problems of the formation of state antimonopoly policy in Georgia. Our goal was to study the criteria for monopolization, the establishment of competition policy and the implementation of stages in Georgia. Therefore, I think that the topic that we are studying is relevant. The goal of the study is to show that competition and a healthy competitive environment are a prerequisite for the development of market relations; therefore, a country that recognizes the principles of a market economy should try to develop progressive antitrust laws and promote healthy competition. The study was conducted and analyzed by antitrust offenses. The object of the research is information on the official websites of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, the National Statistical Office of Georgia and the Competition Agency of Georgia. The main source of research conducted by us confirms that antitrust legislation is not only highly developed, but also for developing countries where it is impossible to stimulate the development of production and services within the country without leaving such legislation and not entering the international market. The novelty of our research has shown that the regulatory agency should not disclose a monopoly firm, but a monopoly price. The existence of a monopoly does not diminish the benefits of society - only the monopoly price will cause losses.
