In relations between Turkey and Russia very often outwardly political challenges came to the foreground. Especially these challenges have been reflected due to the developed events that happened in the Middle East, amid a difficult political crisis. Turkey and Russian which have faced a serious challenge in terms of regional problems.
Russian and Turkey always have different positions on regional issues. But the same regional problems have become the reason why these two countries have found common language and their common foreign political interests become closer to each other. A good example of all this is the purchase of anti-aircraft missiles by Turkey government from Russian, this step has exacerbated relations between Turkey and NATO.
Turkey is trying to influence the strategic interests of its country with any of its strategic partners. This all has been evident during the last few years.
Although Turkey is a NATO ally member and also has good and long-term relationship with USA, despite to all of this, when it comes to its country interests in the region, they has moved closer to Russia. This Turkey was avoid serious challenges for the country.
