Abstract
The present survey reviews the social and legal science criminology, in particular – the main elements and features of the crime, considering Georgian and foreign legislation examples.
The essence, the history of its origins and development, and the main elements are discussed in this work, the subject of criminology, which is crime and object/ individual, also the stages of forming and development of the crime, as part of the law, which means reviewing to what extent the action contains the signs of the crime, and the most important – if there is a relevant punishment defined for the action, it is also important to know what rules and conditions are considered when determining the punishment for a crime. It is important to analyse criminal law legislation for these matters, which will be presented in the main chapters of the work. Methods to prevent crime have also been analyzed and recommendations have been developed on the example of specific crimes.
