The purpose of this master's thesis is to translate David Barnhizer's book "Effective
Strategies for Protecting Human Rights: prevention and intervention, trade and education“ (I-V
chapters) into Georgian and analyze this translation by taking into consideration modern
translation studies.
The actuality and practical value of the topic determines the fact that the Georgian reader
will introduce a work in which strategies, related to the protection of human rights as universal
human values are given by the various human rights advocates.
The theoretical foundation of the thesis creates the translationary and linguistic theories
used for translation analysis and the works of various researchers in this field.
