Abstract
Relations between Iran and Israel have had a serious impact on regional policy since the restoration of Israeli statehood. Relations between these countries are divided into two radically different periods.
The first phase of relations between them was marked by close political and diplomatic relations against the background of Muslim countries refusing to recognize the state of Israel. As for the second phase of relations between the two countries, being related to the Islamic Revolution, is characterized by a sharply opposite situation between them.
These countries perceive each other as enemies and rivals. It is noteworthy, that despite the high level of controversy, Israel and Iran were more or less able to agree on certain issues. In particular, the two countries are at odds over Iran's nuclear program. Israel wants to keep nuclear weapons out of Iran's hands, because Israel thinks that firstly it will be used against this country. Iran perceives Israel as one of the impediments to its regional leadership. It has become unacceptable for Israel to reach a nuclear deal with Iran, between this country and the six states. He strongly criticized the agreement and took the initiative to reconsider it.
When the United States first left this agreement, which was followed by Iran, Iran faced this fact with a great satisfaction, and still says that it needs to put even more pressure on Iran to abandon its nuclear program.
