The local press has never been pampered with reaserchers’ attention. Rarely anyone would desire to analyze and study it. Nowadays not everyone knows about local editions. Still, they exist and fulfill their exact functions and duties.
The computer and technology era has narrowed even television impact. In this case what could be said about press and local editions. We consider, that this is the reason why researching editing is so interesting, what place it takes in social-political development of municipality, if they provide society with necessary information and support them in solving everyday social problems.
The aim of our work is to show this abovementioned role of editing - based on the example of two newspapers and a journal publishing in Shida Qartli region, discussing and analyzing their articles.
