საქართველოს მოსახლეობის ეთნიკური შემადგენლობა XX საუკუნესა და XXI საუკუნის დასაწყისში

Foregoing Master’s work is about Ethnic Composition of Georgian Population between XX and XXI centuries according to population censuses of Georgia. I’m going to discuss about the results of survey programs carried out from 1926 to 2014.

General population census changes have permanently occurred time to time and has been developing and improving eventually .Because of the situation of that time the list of basic issues and priorities have been changed. At first more attention was paid to demography sittuation, marriage condition, later one of the priority has become the study of the education level of population which was followed after the economic activity :involvement of citizens in social activities, employment, concrete professions were created and citizens were divided after those professions.

In accordance with the current processes in the Soviet Union countries considered it relevant to study the necessity of the condittion of citizens’ migration. The migration processes have influenced the ethnic composition of the population. The question about the national composition of the population appears in the coding documentation from the XX century, namely in the 1926 description.

The work done by me is the analysis of historic-scientific research.


I’m going to discuss about the Georgian population census’s program carried out in Soviet union and in the history of Independent Georgia (from 1926 to 2014), Comparative analysis are calculated from Data bases which are based on population census’s programs, which helped us to demonstrate those major differences and Determining factors, Through which The ethnic composition and The total number of the Georgian population was changing.
