Abstract
Linguistic diversity is an integral part of our lives. Today, almost half of the world is bilingual or multilingual. Consequently, bilingualism / multilingualism is a subject of constant discussion and study.
Relevance of the topic, research novelty and innovation: In the paper, we tried to study interference as a side effect of bilingualism and discussed various factors related to the process of second language acquisition. Georgian-Greek early bilingualism has not been
practically studied until today. In the form of the present paper, the first attempt of a study presented in the psycholinguistic context of the mentioned issue determines its scientific novelty in this field.
Research goals and objectives, research methodology: The aim of the paper was to conduct a narrative study with Georgian-Greek bilingual juniors, to study the cases of interference identified in their speech and to determine the role of bilingualism in improving he intercultural competence of students.
