საზოგადოების პოლარიზაცია, როგორც პოპულიზმის ზრდის განმაპირობებელი ფაქტორი: საქართველოს მაგალითი

The main purpose of the work is to research the influence of social polarization of society in the growth of populism in Georgian politics. The work emphasizes that the sharper social polarization of the society is, the influence it has in case of rising role of populism. The examples aboutthe Georgian and foreign experience strengthen the hypothesis of the paper.The significance of this assertion is underlined by the worldwide populist movements and the arrival of populist leaders or parties in power. In addition to the qualitative research methods used to accomplish the purpose set in the work, is the method of the case study that is based on the example of four European countries. The most important task is to compare existing results with Georgian reality.
In the first chapter of the work is reviewed the existing theoretical issues about populism and social polarization of society, also in this work is reviewed the criteria and typologies about populism and social polarization of society, that is formulated by different scientists in different states and countries with different economic, social and political status. Allocation of these features makes operationalization of the concept much more easier. The main questions of this chapter refer to the different definitions of the two variables, the different elements and the characteristics that is shown in different author’s works.
