Abstract
The main purpose of the research was finding relationship between Networking behavior and Emotional
intelligence. Correlation analyses results showed that emotional intelligence is positively connected to
the Networking behavior. In addition, all four factors of Emotional intelligence have positive correlation
with Networking behavior. The fact, that Emotional intelligence can predict Networking behavior, was
analyzed. From the results of Linear Regression analyze we can say, that emotional intelligence can
explain 8.7 % of Networking behavior. Additionally, it should be noted that sociabillity factor can explain
10.6% of Networking behavior. By the working positions of respondents, there was a statistical
significant difference connected to the Networking behavior. For instance, turns out, that marketing
representatives are more actively involved in Networking behavior, than accountants.
In the research process, there was an adaptation of Georgian version of carrier contacts (Networking
behavior) research questionnaire. Adapted questionnaire consisted of several stages: translation of
questionnaire and checking the translation by the help of back- translation; expert assessments of
questionnaire items; final formulation of questionnaire; psychometrical analyze of questionnaire.
The psychometrical analyze result shows that, carrier contact questionnaire has high level of internal
consistency (α=.92) and each item has satisfactory index of discrimination.
