The paper deals with the main political parties of the Georgian legislative body of 2016 and
their internal party democracy mechanisms.
In determining the quality of internal party democracy, it is used to analyze statutes and
discuss the Law on Political Unions of Citizens and compare with the Act of German Political
Parties.
In the first part of the thesis is discussed the phenomenon of internal party democracy and
its manifestations in Georgian political parties. The criteria of internal party democracy are
discussed and the statutes of the Georgian parties.
The second chapter speaks about Georgian and European legislative regulations and their
importance.
The third chapter is comparing the legislation of Germany and Georgia. Finally,
considering the importance of legislative regulations and why they are needed in Georgian
political space.
