Abstract
The aim of this paper is to study the image of presidential candidates of modern Georgia and
influence of the different variables on this process. Georgia as a new democracy has not yet had a
big experience in researching political leaders and the present work will help future leaders to
analyze what factors affect the image of a candidate.
Georgia has only a fifth president, but steps towards Western-style democracy began from the 2003
Rose Revolution. In the survey I try to reveal the circumstances that have influenced the formation
of the image of the last three presidents and pushed the voters to support them. Within the scope of
the research I will try to answer the question and hypothesis by analyzing the materials, conducting
in-depth interviews with the experts of the sphere and conducting the survey and empirically
substantiate the main factors influencing the behavior of the Georgian voters.
