The topic concerns citizen’s trust towards police in Georgia. One of the important instances of the state is the police, whose main functions are the prevent crime, identify the crime, protect public and protect the law. It is also important to know what kind of trust the population have about police to understand how they value their activities.
The first chapter deals with the confidance and the essence of the police. What is the police, why is it important as the institutions’s work? Also, the important of trust and the theoretical approaches around it are discussed. Let me review the researches in Europe in which states the highest confidence in the police. Also, what role is given in the police in Georgia and what way the Georgia and what way Georgian police have gone through.
The secons chapter descriebes te statistics of registered and investigated offenses in Georgia and what was the confidance rate of the police in this period.
In the last the third chapter provides reports and recommendations of local and international organizations. Also, analyzed in-depth interview.
