Abstract
The attached Master Thesis presents the topic “The Impact of Generations’ Work Style on the Development in the Company of Natakhtari”. Accordingly, it discusses the definition and research of the attitudes of generations towards the workplace, which in turn affects the success and development of the company.
The paper consists of the following main parts: introduction, literature analysis, research limitations, results and their judgment, conclusion, and recommendations.
The introductory part discusses the urgency of the topic, people’s attitude towards certain events and issues. By in-depth studying of these attitudes, it is possible to discover the rational approaches and capabilities that will lead the organization to optimal results. Attitudes are discussed in terms of the division of human generations.
A research hypothesis is formulated before reviewing the scientific literature. The main hypothesis of the paper is: “Working attitude Difference between generations affects the development of the company”, and its sub-hypotheses are: “Generation characteristic determines its attitude to work” and “taking into account the difference between generations simplifies the integration and/or behaviour adjustment of employees in the work process”.
In the analysis of the literature you will look through the development of the essence of generations’ attitudes as scientific approach, the stages of generation, their classification and characteristics. It also discusses what the key factors are for a successful company.
Quantitative research on attitudes was conducted in the company “Natakhtari”. This section discusses the attitudes of the following generations in the workplace: “Baby Boomes”, “X”, “Y” and “Z”. Quantitative research is divided into following stages: questionnaire selection, survey, and processing.
The results of the study are summarized and parallels are drawn with the correctness of the hypotheses.
Along with the quantitative research, the paper uses the opinions of HR experts regarding to the issues (using structured interviews).
Attention is also paid to important topics for research, such as ethical issues and research limitations. It is about all the ethical points that were maximally observed during the research, as well as it focuses on what impediments were identified during the research.
The conclusion summarizes the need for knowledge of generational classification and characteristics in relation to the management of a successful company, as well as the recommendations that will simplify the generational issues in the company in Natakhtari.
