Abstract
The work deals with the works of two Georgian researchers - Zurab Avalishvili and Mikheil Kheltuplishvili, which discusses the history of Georgia's accession to Russia in 1801, its causes, peripeties and consequences. The first chapter of the study is dedicated to presenting the biographical chronicle of Zurab Avalishvili and Mikheil Kheltuplishvili, which is not still properly studied.
The life of Zurab Avalishvili was going on, that he preferred the diplomacy and the jurist instead of of the history and made a significant contribution to the history of the democratic republic of Georgia. At the same time it is worth that during forced stay emigration he could published historical character publication.
Mikheil Kheltuplishvili died a young. He was graduated University of Moscow, and unfortunately, he did not complete scientific work without a book. Mikheil Keltuplishvili’s name is well know in a new history of Georgia in the years of student he was actively involved in the fight for national-political freedom as a member of the "Freedom League of Georgia".
The second chapter discusses Zurab Avalishvili's work "Joining Georgia with Russia", the reasons for which Georgian researcher historian thinks is the Georgian Incorporation in the Russian Empire.
The third chapter is studied by Mikheil Kheltuplishvili's work "Georgia's Entry into the Russian Empire". It is underlined that even under the political regime of Tsarism, Mikheil Khleltuplishvili managed to find Emperor Paul first declared the Kingdom of Kartl-Kakheti as the governor of the Russian Empire in the lives of Giorgi.
The fifth chapter of the work is compared to the works of Mikheil Kheltuplishvili and Zurab Avalishvili, which published in 1901, about the 100th anniversary of the entry into the Russian Empire. The similarity and difference between two author's views on the same issue are revealed. the work is accompanied the conlusion by a list of sources and used literature. Master's thesis is based on the analysis of special scientific literature, periodical press and authors' works.
