This paper discusses the determinants of social inequality and it’s importance as an economic category for the assessment and analysis of social status. In the modern world, social inequality and migration are significant challenges for any country. Timely identification of these problems and the search for ways to solve them are especially important for countries with economies in transition, such as Georgia. This is what makes this paper relevant.
The aim of the paper is to study the theoretical basis of social inequality and migration as a key feature of a market economy, to characterize the current state of quality of life of the Georgian population in light of the existing inequality and to identify topical issues based on its statistical indicators.
Finally, we will get information on the problems caused by social inequality in Georgia and its peculiarities.
