The work represents a research and catalogue of Late Bronze – Early Iron Age clay seals, which have been discovered on the territory of Georgia. It gives a detail description, analyzes and wide spectrum discussion of this period clay seals. The work that was necessary to perform this paper, was sponsored by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia.
Besides, that there are given some information about Georgian Late Bronze = Early Iron Age clay seals in scientific literature, we must mention that there haven’t been studied this artifacts monographically. More over there doesn’t exist complex work, by which would be studied social and economic parameters of the clay seals, found on the territory of Georgia.
The aim of the performed work is to study monographically Late Bronze – Early Iron Age clay seals, discovered at Georgia. As well as to make a catalogue and to bring unpublished materials in scientific circulation. Herewith, the goal of it is to place Late Bronze – Early Iron Age clay seals in existing typology, or if it will be necessary to establish new types. In fact it’s possible to reconstruct the social situation of Late Bronze – Early Iron Age period Georgia by studying of this materials.
