The development of the Internet and the existence of a social network have created a number of problems in terms of personal data protection. Every democratic country, including Georgia, is committed to protecting one of the basic human rights - the right to protection of personal data. After the adoption of the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection in 2011, a number of challenges in this area were identified in the country, however, at the same time, relevant practices began to be established. Over time, compliance with the requirements of the above law has become particularly relevant, including in the Internet, whose frequent users are children. The aim of the master's thesis is to bring to the fore the challenges of the protection of the child's personal data in the Internet space, as well as the mechanisms of its protection according to both Georgian and international regulations. The protection of a child's personal data on the Internet is a topical issue in the world, which is often discussed in scientific circles, therefore, due to the existing challenges, it is advisable to conduct the present study to establish the best ways to protect a child's personal data on the Internet.
