Tsalka water reservoir is one of the most important water reservoirs in Georgia, it is seasonal and the function of two hydro electric reserviors and Khramah 1 and Khramah 2 depends on it. The assessment of the modern regime of Tsalka water reservoir is very actual for these hydro electric reserviors.
The work deals with the current hydrological processes in the Tsalka reservoir as well as on the environmental impacts. The work also deals with the geographical and geological condition of the atrum, Tributaries, recreational use of the territories. The water reservoir temperature regime, adjacent geochemical landscapes adjacent to agroecosystems, water quality, water quality formation conditions and peculiarities of its determinants are also considered. The new methods of preservation, regulation and forecasting of water reservoirs provide a practical solution to the problems of rational and complex use of water reservoirs. The goal of this is to study the complexly Tsalka water reservoir to protect the environment and maintain ecological balance.
