In the following dissertation, issues regarding to the juveniles justice system in Georgia and worldwide are discussed. The aim of the academic research is to analyze main factors having influence on delinquency acts commited by juveniles. It identifies challenges and problems which are familliarto juveniles being in comfliqt with a law. The last but not least, the given study further outlines the charactreistics associated to social work practice and working with juveniles per se.
Following study is divided into three main parts. The first part is theoretical and devoted to the literature review. Existing practices regarding to juveniles justice system in Georgia and in other countries, including the western hemisphere of the world, other issues of youth being in comflict with law and the role of social workers are analyzed.
The second part of the study is more practical and data and analysis retrieved from the in depth research will be discussed.
The third part summarizes the discussion and findings and sketches out the recommendations for policy makers. The dissertation utilizes the qualitative research methodology and largerly relies on the in-depth interviews, as well as on the analysis of the primary and secondary sources.
Undoubtedly, the presented study will be interesting and useful for people working or being interested in developing juvenile justice system in Georgia.
