Abstract
The objective of the master thesis is to study organizations, their methods of employee selection, strategies - attracting and buying proffesionals VS creating professionals. The thesis reviews the opinions of different authors on both approaches. A qualitative study was conducted in several selected organizations in Georgia. As a result of the survey, we found out the information about selection policy of organizations by interviewing human resources managers. The research has illustrated features of both approaches, reasons and consequences, which implies that organizations address both strategies, and it depends on the needs of the vacant positions and herewith the requirements. Moreover, the selection strategy developed based on organization’s financial condition and other resources. The survey clarified not the advantages of one of them, but the pros and cons of both selection methods based on the specific examples.
