სოხუმი-თბილისი-ერევნის დამაკავშირებელი სარკინიგზო პროექტის გავლენა საქართველოს ეროვნული უსაფრთხოებაზე

Not much time has passed since Georgia gained its independence and since then it tries to find its place among other countries of the world. Restoration of independence turned out to be very hard process for Georgia and it took away lives of many young Georgian patriots, but it also turned out to be hard to maintain independence and to head country in the right direction.
Along with political, economic and social problems, country faces important and complex issues such as territorial integrity, ethnic minorities, forcibly displaced persons, energy and transit projects and challenges, unemployment, poverty and a lot more.
In addition to these important issues, there are foreign policy barriers and political rivals, who are trying as much as possible to weaken Georgia’s National Security, to limit its political flexibility and maneuvering capacity, to hinder Georgia’s economic diversification and military-political cooperation with Euro-Atlantic Area.
Role of Georgia in new transit and energy projects connecting Europe with Asia is important in the context of relationships with Euro-Atlantic area. Subject of research in this thesis is precisely transit projects, which run through Georgia and their influence, importance and role for Georgia and its national security.
