Small and medium-sized businesses challenges and trends Georgia

Necessity of development of small and medium-sized businesses is important for increase and development of country economy. 50-70% of total volume of goods and service is coming on its share, that’s why correct politics of small and medium-sized businesses is the basic condition for successful functioning of market economy. Actuality of the topic of Master’s work is conditioned by necessity of its study. The goal represents – to review condition of small and medium-sized businesses in Georgia, to reveal the reserves and develop the recommendations on the base of analysis of its strong and weak sides. The task of our research is – to estimate small and medium-sized businesses as economic category, detailed analysis of its condition in Georgia, also to discuss if what events and programs are implemented for the purpose of supporting small and medium-sized businesses. Hence we consider as actual our Master’s work. The object of research is - small and medium-sized businesses in Georgia. The subject of research represents the presentation of the growth of role of small and medium-sized businesses, its necessity and perspectives and their theoretical and practical analysis. The work has as theoretical as practical importance. The novelty of the research conducted by us is that on the base of multilateral analysis there is defined the existed condition of the development of small and medium-sized businesses and is shown objective necessity of development of this sector in Georgia. The materials found by us will be interesting not only for academic economists but also for general public, in which by our research we do our slightly bit in this case.
