ეკონომიკური პროტექციონიზმის შედეგები საერთაშორისო კომპანიების საქმიანობაში

This dissertation work is dedicated to such important issues as the effects of economic protectionism in the activities of international companies. In the introduction it is justified the importance of the research topic, the purpose and tasks of the research are defined, and the research methods are reported.
The first chapter discusses the essence of globalization, and the impacts which free trading can bring for the countries; what stages went the trade through when the barriers were decreased and then disappear fully. And why it became necessary to establish the trade regulatory organizations.
The second chapter discusses economic protectionism and what are the results of this politics; how economic protectionism can impact on the economy of the country. It also emphasizes the role of the World Trade Organization in the economic protectionist politics.
The third chapter deals with the state of economic protectionism in Georgia. Whether we can take steps like these or not and what responsibilities we have taken while joining to WTO. At last, there is information about the result we got from the WTO.
In the final part it is emphasized on the key issues mentioned in the above sections, which should be taken into consideration for the proper economic policy. The protection of the local markets is important but we should not forget about the obligations in WTO, because the wrong protective steps can damage both domestic and external markets.
