ბასკური და კატალონიური ნაციონალიზმების შედარებითი ანალიზი

The present master's thesis is a comparative analysis of Basque and Catalan nationalism. The
purpose of the work is to determine the causes of Basque and Catalan secessionist nationalism in
the context of institutionalism (Paul Brass), "international" theory of the inter-ethnic war (Stuart
J. Kaufman) and by using comparative analysis. Another purpose of the work is to determine the
existence/absence of the relationship between Basque and Catalan nationalism. In following
research two periods will be discussed: the period of Francisco Franco dictatorship and modern times.
While working on the research, a qualitative method of research was used. As well as
methods of case-study, comparative research and discourse analysis. In the study process, were
analyzed secondary sources, Spanish and English works of scientific research, articles and
materials obtained in internet. As well as interviews, statements and ideas of different public
figures, politicians and ordinary citizens.
