Abstract
The article discusses the interdependence of human and the social environment in Khevi from an anthropological aspect. The current traditions of local moral norms and human social protection, solidarity, age groups and gender issues are investigated. The socioeconomic differentiation of Khevi impacted the social life of the Mokheves. The old habits were slowly disappearing from practice. The institution of social protection was more active in the traditional society. Helping the poor and the weak in Khevi had an organized character, which has been preserved to nowadays, although it has less organized character and depends on the individual's initiative.
In contemporary life, for the most part, a woman is the breadwinner of the family, and sometimes she is appointed to certain positions. Despite this, the status of men in the family and society is still a priority.
