Abstract
With the development of globalization and communications, the face of war has also been changed. Classic conventional war is no longer the only military alternative. Direct, large-scale confrontation is either no longer needed or only at a particular stage is one integral part of a larger strategy.
Today, the so-called "Hybrid war" is relevant, which includes many elements of war production, such as politics, diplomacy, economics, military, information, cyber and others. One of the leading elements today is the information war, which involves waging war through disinformation and propaganda. Delivering information attacks against the opponent through various means and methods of spreading information.
The paper "Russia's Information War against Georgia" consists of an introduction, 3 main chapters, subsections, a conclusion and references.
Introduction - The aims of writing the paper are given. The methods of the topic are set out. In the introduction, the part of determining the urgency of the problem is also given. Finally, the practical significance of the problem and this paper is described.
Chapter 1 – consists of the definition and elements of Hybrid Warfare. This chapter gives the definition of so-called "hybrid war" as defined by several authors. Elements of "Hybrid War" and historical excursion on Russia-Georgia example.
Chapter 2 - deals with the information war waged by Russia. The goals of the information war and and goals each action of the Kremlin serves. This chapter provides specific narratives, by means of which spread of propaganda and misinformation throughout the public is done. The same chapter presents the potential threats to Georgia from Russia.
Chapter 3 - compiles data on the mechanisms of the Kremlin's information war in Georgia. The means of spreading of narratives by Russia are: media, pro-Russian political parties, clergy, cyber, non-governmental organizations.
In conclusion - a summarized and analysed research is provided; based on the literature and information used in the paper, a general summary and recommendations were made...
