The master’s thesis “The problem of Management in the Georgian Public Sector and Opportunities for its Development” deals with the problem of management in the Georgian public sector and discusses the steps and procedures taken for its development. This problem is especially topical today, reforms, approaches and modernity in general always pose certain challenges to the public institutions of any country, Georgia is no exception. It is therefore necessary to take certain measures and replace the old with the new.
To better understand the problem of management, we will identify the problems in the field of management in the public sector and ways to solve them. Such as human resource management, staff relations, service gaps, proper allocation of time management and new public management methods and attempts to implement them.
The problematics of this issues can be caused by various factors, such as social factor, economic, cultural, political and others. The thesis, based on research conducted by various organizations, clearly shows what challenges public management faces, how problematic is the functioning of the service sector and improper time management planning. As well as kind of changes has public management undergone in recent years and how necessary is the existence of a new public management.
