Abstract
As of December 31, 2019, the disease caused by the new corona virus (kovid-19) has spread rapidly around the world. As a result of the rapid spread of the disease, thousands of people died, borders were closed due to isolation and quarantine, and many people lost their jobs. As expected, the most severe pandemic struck the poor and further increased poverty and inequality.
Covid-19 not only changed the behavior, views and daily rhythm of the society, but also fundamentally transformed the role of the business and the methods of doing it. The environment we had before the virus and we have with the virus is fundamentally different. The crisis has affected all industries, fields and industries.
Due to the pandemic, many companies were forced to stop working, most of them went bankrupt and the rest are trying to survive online. Due to the decrease in demand, the largest companies decided to reduce staff.
The negative consequences caused by the pandemic were particularly negative for new and therefore relatively unsustainable businesses. The number of investments has significantly decreased, consequently new vacancies have decreased and a lot of jobs have been lost. The pandemic changed the world agenda, for which, unfortunately, the population was not ready.
The Coronavirus pandemic has severely hampered the development of the tourism business, although it is still difficult to pinpoint the losses of COVID-19, and uncertainty, in turn, poses a separate threat to the sustainable development of tourism. At the present stage it is considered to be the fastest growing sector of the world economy. In particular, it is one of the three largest export sectors (after oil products and automobile manufacturing) and is the most profitable sector of the world economy.
The master's thesis presents a combined analysis of different types of research, which reflects the problems and challenges in the tourism business in Georgia before and after the pandemic
