The essay introduced the stydy of the birth rates outside of marriage and for meried couples. The
goal of the essayis is to highlight the decrease of marriages in Georgia and in light the matert of the
mentioned fact the material decline in birth rates.
The essay outlines the demographic situation during Soviet union period in Georgia and acute
problem of birth in modern Georgia . Also, attention is emphasized to the increased of divorced
couples and its negative effects on the birth .Emansipation and higher social status of the woman
promoted to increase the birth rates outside of marriage . The woman with successful career are
desired to have a kid without his/her official father . At the one hand it is acceptable for demographic
reasons however on the other hand, considering the ethical norms established in the society , the mentioned
fact is not positively perceivedand is subject to blame. It should be mentioned the society’s opinion about
the birth outside of marriage and the drastically changes the opinions over the periods . Ethnic minority in
Georgia has different attitude to the mentioned fact, however the basic problem is related to the birth rates.
We tried to introduce the scale of the birth rates outside of marriage and for married and for married
couples during the past half century. In the essay there are deceted the appropriateness of the birth rates. And
there are provided the recommendations to regulate the problem
