The work is dedicated to studying the peculiarities of the process of integration into ethnic
Georgian minority-Azerbaijani population in Kvemo Kartli. The work focuses on the factors
influencing the process.
There are separate issues related to the rights of ethnic minorities in almost every legal instrument
of human rights. The instruments existing in the UN, Council of Europe, OSCE and other
international organizations recognize the need for the protection of ethnic minorities rights and
thus strengthen the importance of equal, inclusive and plural society for the development of
democratic societies. Minority rights and the values that are important to keep the culture and
development, for which the members of that group, in turn, affects the joint and peaceful society
