Our research master's thesis "State programs to support the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Samtskhe-Javakheti" will be devoted to the role of small and medium-sized businesses in the country's economy, its significance and characteristics, the new ideology of small and medium-sized businesses. Our goal was to study the state mechanism for regulating small and medium-sized businesses, so I think the topic of our research is relevant. The purpose of the study is to show that discussion and analysis of the functioning of small and medium-sized businesses at the present stage is of particular importance. The hypothesis of the study presented by Chen is that the mechanism of financial support for small and medium-sized businesses should be optimized both by non-profit commercial organizations and government support programs. It is this approach that will increase the efficiency of this sector. The subject of the research is the study of mechanisms to support government programs for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. The main result of our research is that small and medium-sized businesses in Georgia have not yet been studied deeply and comprehensively, small and medium-sized enterprises operate as if they only satisfy the country's domestic demand. The novelty of our research indicates that there are mechanisms to support small and medium-sized businesses, to minimize their financial risks, whether it be programs for lending to commercial banks, programs for targeted support of funds, programs of mutual guarantees, government programs for supporting small and medium-sized businesses, etc.
