Political relationship between Us and Turkey

The US - Turkey partnership has been around for several decades. The closest partnership between them came during the Cold War, when Turkey was widely regarded as a major supporter of US foreign policy in the Middle East. The end of the Cold War has made some changes in Turkey-US relations, as a result, nowadays the relations between these two countries are no longer close.
The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between the US and Turkey in the political and military spheres, to what extent has Turkey played a significant role in NATO-led military operations and whether they are still considered partners in the modern period? While the two countries' interests on certain political issues do not coincide.
Qualitative research methodology will be used in the study to confirm the hypothesis, historical descriptive and data analysis method. The theory of realism will be used as a theoretical framework, according to which international politics is a struggle for power in an anarchic environment.
